Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to all contracted works undertaken by Aurora Resin Ltd, company number (14020040). Any disputes shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. These terms and conditions will govern all contracts unless stated otherwise in writing prior to any agreements.
- Quotations are valid for a 30-day acceptance period, after which they may be subject to change. Customers are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period. If the customer would like to cancel within 14 days of booking, all moneys will be returned within 7 working days.
- Quotations are based on free and permitted access to the property for any potential works.
- With mutual agreement, customers may accept site delivery of specialist stone and resins before commencement.
- Aurora Resin Ltd cannot be held responsible for the structural condition of existing surfaces or any sub-surface issues. Customers must inform Aurora Resin Ltd of any pooling before resin application.
- The specialist resin-bound surface will follow the underlying surface profile. Aurora Resin Ltd accept no responsibility for drainage issues or standing water on groundwork not installed by Aurora Resin Ltd.
- Any changes required during contracted works will be accommodated where possible within the initial quotation. Changes may affect the final cost and will be agreed upon before commencement of additional works.
- All specialist materials remain Aurora Resin Ltd property until full payment is received. Aurora Resin Ltd reserve the right to reclaim materials if payment is not made.
- Payments are due upon understanding the terms and conditions set out in this document. £500 deposit on purchase order, 40% when preparation work starts, 40% upon completion of groundworks, and the remainder is payable on resin installation completion.
- Due to natural aggregates, slight color variation may occur in the surface.
- Aurora Resin Ltd strive for seamless resin installation. However, in cases where this is not possible, i.e., on larger areas, an aluminum expansion joint or block line may be installed, and work will resume promptly.
- Upon completion, Aurora Resin Ltd will mark the area as hazardous and not safe for walking due to the wet resin, and it is the owner’s responsibility to prevent damage once the team leaves.
- The completed resin surface should not be walked on for at least 12 hours after installation.
- The completed resin surface should not be driven on with any vehicle for a minimum of 3 full days after installation.
- Aurora Resin Ltd will not hold any responsibility for natural expansion and contraction of resin or where negligence has caused the resin to crack by forcing the resin driveway or patio into soft ground e.g., (grass verges parallel to resin).
- Minor level variations may be visible in the resin when low sunlight or artificial light is cast over the resin surface; this is due to the surface being hand-troweled using natural stone.
- All of our resin-bound surfaces are strength-rated for domestic and not HGV vehicles. Aurora Resin Ltd will not accept any responsibility for any damages caused when the surface has been used for a commercial vehicle over 3.5 tons.
- Our 5-year guarantee extension only comes into effect when your resin surface is washed and resealed with a rejuvenating kit at the time the resin is 2 years of age. Aurora Resin Ltd makes no profit on this service and only offers the product for Aurora Resin Ltd customers. We will also accept proof of rejuvenation kit installation from any other third-party invoice if the customer would like to have this service done by a third party.
- All tarmac driveways installed by Aurora resin hold a 5 years guarantee that covers all sinking and cracking only, normal wear and tear should be expected.
Guarantee – Aurora Resin Ltd guarantees all materials and workmanship for its specialist resin-bound surface for 2 years post-installation provided full payment has been made. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Our guarantee is extended to 5 years with the correct minimal maintenance that is required for a resin surface. All information on how to maintain resin is available on our website; if you do not have access to the internet, a leaflet can be provided. Sub-surface issues are not covered unless constructed and installed by Aurora Resin Ltd.
